Buying Vintage

All items offered on trebleandbassvintage.com are, with few exceptions, vintage or second-hand clothing and accessories.

By their nature, such items may sometimes show minor signs of wear or small imperfections. Whenever present, these are always clearly stated in the product description, accurately shown in the photographs, and taken into account in the final sale price.

The vintage garments we offer often have a long history behind them, which in some cases can extend back almost a century. Their story does not begin with us, but it continues with us: we invite you to appreciate them for this reason as well!

Importance of Measurements

Before making a purchase, we strongly recommend carefully checking the exact measurements in centimeters of the item you're interested in.

Measurements are always:

  • stated in the product description, or

  • shown through a photographic measurement scheme, designed to make them easier and more immediate to read.

The only objective way to assess the fit of a garment when purchasing remotely is to compare all measurements in centimeters with those of a similar item you already own and that fits you well.

The size indicated in the title and description of each item is purely indicative and, on its own, is not sufficient to guarantee fit, as vintage sizing can differ significantly from modern standards. Comparing measurements in centimeters therefore remains the safest and most reliable method.

By following these simple guidelines, it's very unlikely that an ordered item will be unsuitable or unsatisfactory. This also helps to minimize returns, which represent a cost not only for the buyer and the seller, but also for the environment.

Right of Withdrawal

If it is nevertheless necessary to return a product, the Customer may exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days from delivery of the order, in accordance with applicable consumer protection regulations.

The intention to withdraw must be communicated in writing using one of the following channels:

Once the withdrawal request has been received, we will provide the Customer with instructions for returning the goods.

Return Shipping Costs and Methods

To facilitate the return process, we reserve the right to provide the Customer with a prepaid return shipping label, sent by e-mail together with the relevant instructions.

In all cases, return shipping costs are borne by the Customer.
If the prepaid return label provided by us is used, the cost will be:

  • €8.50 for returns from mainland Italy and major islands

  • €15.00 for returns from the European Union or from Italian minor islands

These amounts, corresponding to the costs incurred by us for the return label, will be deducted from the final refund amount.

The Customer may also choose to arrange the return shipment independently. In this case, they must:

  • notify us in advance,

  • wait for our authorization,

  • ship the goods at their own expense to the address we provide,
    using a trackable shipping method.

The Seller is not responsible under any circumstances for loss, damage, or any other issues related to the return shipment.

Condition of Returned Items

Returned items must be received in the exact same condition as at the time of purchase, namely:

  • with no additional signs of wear

  • with no tailoring alterations

  • not washed

They must also include any original accessories or packaging provided (e.g. dust bags, original boxes, etc.).

Refunds

Once the return has been received and the integrity of the item verified, we will issue a refund of the full amount paid, less:

  • any return shipping costs incurred for prepaid return labels provided (€8.50 or €15.00), where applicable.

The refund will be issued using the same payment method selected for the original order.

If a reduction in value of the returned item is identified compared to its original condition, we reserve the right to withhold an amount corresponding to that reduction. Alternatively, the Customer may choose to forgo the refund and request that the item be returned to them at their own expense.

Gift Cards

In accordance with current e-commerce regulations:

  • withdrawal with a cash refund for gift cards is possible within 14 calendar days from the order date, only if the gift card has not been used;

  • for purchases made using a gift card, the standard 14-day withdrawal period applies.

In the event of withdrawal from an order paid with a gift card, the refund will be issued exclusively by re-crediting the amount to the same gift card used. Cash refunds are not available.

Original Shipping Costs

Pursuant to applicable consumer regulations, the Seller is not required to refund additional shipping costs if the Customer has expressly chosen a delivery method other than the least expensive standard option offered.

Therefore, original shipping costs are not guaranteed to be refunded if the Customer selected Express shipping or any other customized delivery method.
